Sometimes it’s really hard for me to gauge if I’ve spent a weekend (or just a day off) “well”. In the back of my mind are always the innumerable projects (both personal and professional) that I could be working on, and when I don’t make noticeable progress on one or more of them, it’s easy to feel as though I’ve failed, even though I know that perspective is skewed…
I’ve commented on this to coworkers before, but I’ve once again found a case where my past self spent a little extra time designing an abstraction that is allowing my current self to very quickly and easily make some software changes to support a new hardware revision. Thanks, younger Justin! 🎉
It’s still very much a work in progress, but I’ve completed the first major change to my website since 2020! The work included migrating to a new theme (which I promptly forked to add changes to), adding a new content type (which I hope to eventually have auto-post to Mastodon), and doing a substantial cleanup of posts, folder structures, etc.
😌

The conversion of my site to the Bilberry theme is complete! And I once again have favicon support! I forgot to finish that work last night, and only realized once I pushed and merged my changes… Oops!
I migrated this site to use the Bilberry theme, which includes support for statuses. And so, this is my obligatory test of that feature! :)
Until today, I thought that more or less everyone/everything I cared about was on Mastodon now…
…everyone except the local National Weather Service, that is. And on a day full of tornado warnings, I want to see what they have to say. And they’re only on Twitter. 😞

Okay, I normally don’t really pay close attention to app update sizes…
… but why the HECK is the Microsoft Outlook for macOS update 974 MB, and the installed size over 2 GB? For comparison, Thunderbird is a 124 MB download, with a 362 MB installed size.
(For the record, I have it installed for work, not for personal use.)
