Weekly Notes 2026.10
For the first time in a while, I got to spend at least one day this week heads-down on a project!
Goal Progress
- Books: 2/18 📚
- Photos digitized: 15/500 🖼️
- Workouts: 3/7 💪
- GTD reviews: 4/7 daily, pending weekly
Work
- A majority of this week was reminiscent of the last few weeks in the office; lots of meetings, focused on a variety of projects.
- However… Friday was pretty minimal, and I was able to spend a majority of the day heads-down on a project nearing release! It took a bit to get back into that mode, but was fun to get to devote a concentrated period of time to a specific topic!
Personal
- I finally had time this weekend to begin working on digitizing old photos again. I didn’t make much progress (only 10 photos), though it’s a start! Below is one such photo, taken in Lakewood, NY in the 1930s.
- A couple of friends have almost convinced me to buy a Nintendo Switch. It’s been years since I had any dedicated gaming hardware (other than my Windows computer), but the combination of games and multiplayer options is convincing me.
- I also spent a lot of time this weekend catching up on projects around the house, something sorely needed given how distracted I’ve been lately with work!
Potpourri
- I ran across this series of courses from Anthropic that appear useful for anyone interested in understanding the current state of LLMs (broadly called “AI”).
