Weekly Notes 2026.08

2026-02-22 2 min read

Another short entry this week; keeping busy at work, and unfortunately not spending a ton of time on personal projects.

Goal Progress

  • Books: 2/18 📚
  • Photos digitized: 5/500 🖼️
  • Workouts: 3/7 💪
  • GTD reviews: 4/7 daily, pending weekly

Work

  • I mentioned last week that I was exploring LLM usage at work; this week I spent a decent amount of time looking at how to incorporate it into my daily workflow to make things like meeting prep, pulling tasks out of meeting notes, etc easier. I got to a workflow I’m fairly happy with, though I’ll still be tweaking it for the foreseeable future.
  • I also made some progress on a utility app that I’ve been wanting for a while, but never had time to write myself. It turns out (unsurprisingly, I guess) that Claude Code is capable of doing most of the heavy lifting, as long as I can accurately describe what I want. Writing accurate and well-structured prompts continues to be an area I’m learning…

Personal

  • My LLM experiments for work consumed a lot of my personal time, though I’ve also been looking at how to use what I’ve learned in my personal life.

Notable

  • Wednesday night was Ash Wednesday, which started weekly Lenten Services.
